Three Idiots is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Madhavan, Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani in lead roles, Kajol is also in a guest roll. The film’s music is composed by Shantanu Moitra and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. This film was shot in India Institute of Management (Bangalore) and beautiful locations of Mumbai, Delhi, Shimla and Ladakh.

The story of the film is based on th famous novel (Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat). It is the story of three friends whose dismal grade point averages at their college influence their romance, friendship and career choices.
